Unlock Your Potential! We’re looking for a passionate Warehouse Assistant Permanent Part time (80 hours) to join Indigo Brands in Epping, Cape Town. In this role, you will assist with all the delivery functions, related to Indigo specific deliveries               

Reporting Structure:

• Reports to: Warehouse Controller

Key Areas of Impact:

Professional representation of the company while performing delivery duties

• Ensure that proper PPE is worn at all time and overall clean and neat presentation is kept.
• Adhere to customer’s site policies and procedures at all times.
• Always be contactable on cell phone.

Collection and delivering of documents or parcels at various suppliers or vendors

• Assists the driver with the collection and delivering of miscellaneous items.
• Ensure that all goods collected or delivered have the correct documentations attached – Proof of Delivery (POD).

Special customer deliveries and local deliveries

• Assist the driver with the delivering of urgent orders in the Cape Town area, even if outside normal working hours.
• Ensure that all local deliveries are checked thoroughly whilst loading it in the presents of Auditors and Security.
• Assist with early deliveries or night deliveries when and where requested.
• Ensure the correct delivery documents are attached and recorded in the security register.
• Ensure signed POD is handed back to the Shipping Team leader.
• Ensure that short or extra stocks are accompanied by a credit note and report to the Shipping Team Leader.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped according to customer standards

Safety and housekeeping responsibilities

• Ensure that all safety and housekeeping standards are adhered to and report unsafe conditions.
• Communicate with the appropriate person regarding suggestions that may improve on the safety or housekeeping of the working environment.
• Maintain good housekeeping principals in the working area.

• Grade 12 / Matric

Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

• Valid Forklift license would be advantageous
